How many times have we heard about the importance of location? What does that even mean? The correct location for a business depends on several factors. One of the first things to consider is the type of business. Our business is a hair salon. That likely means it needs to be in a location with a lot of foot traffic. We thought foot traffic was above all else, and we put our business next to an ATM machine.
Yes, we acquired many clients, but for our sanity and at the expense of a shop shaped like a shoebox with only one window, we always knew in our hearts we would have to move eventually. Vamp Salon spent ten years at the Oakley, CA, location. We learned so much in that time. Most importantly, we learned about the actual value of a great location.
Aside from people thinking we were a bank and always wanting to use our counter to endorse checks, it was alright. Now the pizza restaurant next door, whose staff would beat the paper towel dispenser on the adjacent wall like a fresh pile of dough, was a different story.
Downtown Brentwood, CA has always had a charm that no one can deny: the old buildings, tree-lined streets, and the rich history of the Bay Area. With diverse cultures living and working together, Brentwood is the essence of the melting pot ideology I remember growing up with as a young child in the 1990s.
The salon is located at 3860 Balfour Rd in Brentwood, CA. We have our own parking lot, and foot traffic is high; nobody beats on the wall after washing their hands, and nobody ever comes inside the salon looking to make a deposit.
We have found a new home for Vamp Salon in Brentwood, CA. The location and proximity to the river, the old building, the extensive renovation, our neighbors, and the parades all add character to our location that we desperately needed more proper appreciation for. So, in conclusion, come see us at our new location. We love it, and we know you’ll love it too!
